About me

My name is Carly Brechner and I am a student writer interested in the worlds of entertainment, media, and marketing. 

 

I am currently a senior at the University of Michigan working towards a B.A in Communication and Media with a minor in Writing. I grew up in both New York City and the Philadelphia suburbs, and am excited to get back to my big apple roots after graduation. 

 

Obsessed with all things entertainment, fashion, celebrity, and theater-related, my finger is always on the pulse of the cultural, social, and media trends. I am also a total foodie and love to travel. I had the privilege of spending a summer working in Tel Aviv, Israel, and a semester studying in London. It would be a dream come true to combine these passions with my interests in the media and entertainment industries.

I am a detail-oriented, curious, and creative thinker, always working outside the box but inside the lines. A strong verbal and written communicator, you can always find me searching for the next story to tell whether it be through a social media post or marketing campaign. With my work ethic, problem solving skills, and collaborative nature, I am always preparing for new leadership roles and believe I will be an asset to any team.

 

If I’m not writing or consuming some form of media, I’m reading. If I’m not reading, I’m on a walk listening to a combination of show tunes, Billy Joel, and Florence and the Machine. And if I’m not doing any of the above, I’m probably striking up a conversation with anyone and everyone.
